Affiliations

The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Alberta is working to establish the Canadian Centre for Welding and Joining.  The recruitment of the Weldco-Beales Chair to the Canadian Centre for Welding and Joining will be the first critical step in the process.

Other industry users of welding and joining technologies, including Suncor Energy, Syncrude Canada, Metal Fabricators and Welding, Canadian Welding Bureau, CESSCO, Willbros MSI, and Edmonton Economic Development, have committed support to this initiative to significantly enhance welding and joining education, research and technology development in Canada.

Being CWB certified sanctions Weldco-Beales as having met the Canadian Welding Professional and the International governing standards, as CWB is the Authorized National Body (ANB) for the International Institute of Welding (IIW).

The APEGA regulates the practices of engineering and geoscience in Alberta and has recognized Weldco-Beales as having the highest level of efficiency, productivity and ethical conduct in regards to their engineering efforts. 
 
“Since 1920, APEGA has been a vibrant and progressive self-governing association fulfilling the mandate given to it by the Engineering and Geoscience Professions (EGP) Act. APEGA registers, sets practice standards and determines disciplinary actions, when necessary, for Members.”
