Weldco-Beales Mfg. is a proud member of the NorTerra Group of companies. NorTerra is owned equally by the Inuvialuit Development Corporation, representing the Inuvialuit of the North West Arctic, and Nunasi Corporation, representing the Inuit of Nunavut.

The NorTerra group of companies understands strength through partnerships; within this partnership, Weldco-Beales Manufacturing is one of five operating companies:

The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Alberta is working to establish the Canadian Centre for Welding and Joining.  The recruitment of the Weldco-Beales Chair to the Canadian Centre for Welding and Joining will be the first critical step in the process.

Other industry users of welding and joining technologies, including Suncor Energy, Syncrude Canada, Metal Fabricators and Welding, Canadian Welding Bureau, CESSCO, Willbros MSI, and Edmonton Economic Development, have committed support to this initiative to significantly enhance welding and joining education, research and technology development in Canada.
